AFAX Day 2..
Woke up at 6.50 a.m, and i realized i woke up a little too early..brushed up and stare into blank space until about 7.20 then i went out. The queue was really short as compared to Day 1, so i queued up. Then i realized i was in the wrong queue. Can't blame me for that! LOL, it was at the same place where the ticket queue is on Day 1! So i got my ticket at the front (there was nobody buying tickets. There's no queue for the tickets at all..) and once i got my tickets, the queue to enter the place (Yes, that long one) started moving. I went to the back and GOODNESS the queue EXTENDED TILL THE NEXT CONVENTION HALL! AND IT WAS ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK, THE END OF THE QUEUE! So blah blah blah and i got in.
Inside there was yet another queue, to go into the main stage. When the queue started moving into the stage, i cut queue..HAHA. Nobody noticed anyways..it was that chaotic, and i finally got into the Main stage area, and i even managed to get a seat! Thanks goodness for the chaos. The hosts came out, but they don't matter. :P
IT WAS FINALLY TIME FOR THE LONG AWAITED MOVIE SCREENING. I can safely say that it's the best movie of the year for me. The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is really, really good! 100/10 from me (Y) I shan't talk about the movie, go watch it for yourself. HAHA.
After the movie is the Regional Cosplay Championship 2010. The judges were Kaname and Aira from japan, Alodia from Phillippines, Clive from Singapore, and a Canon high ranking staff whose name i don't bother remembering :P The teams that made it were Malaysia, Phillippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. Out of all their cosplays, i would cast my vote for Japan, because all of them fail when compared to the judges. HAHA. Especially Aira..she's really pretty in person! Really really really :D
Next was, if i'm not wrong, a special appearance by angela, May'n, and Scandal, promoting the I Love Anisong concert Side B. It's really just them appearing, answering a few questions asked by the hosts.
I pretty much camped at the Main stage area from 9 till about 4+ i guess. Went to Mac for early dinner with Zach, and went back to the festival area after that..haha!
The festival area is pretty much the same as Day 1, so refer to that post i guess? The only difference is that most of the things were sold out. The booth selling the $100 stainless steel swords and wooden swords were COMPLETELY sold out. I ain't exaggerating when i said completely. Not a single sword is left, even the broken ones were sold out near the end of the day.
There were more cosplayers on Day 2, but i still feel that Day 1 has the best cosplayer! She's that Haruhi i saw on Day 1. Best cosplay for normal festival goers (Y) AND I FINALLY SAW PEOPLE DANCING TO HARE HARE YUKAI! Although there's only 3 dancers and they kinda ruined the dance but it's ok, since it's the only Hare Hare Yukai for the festival :) Oh there were more Mios on Day 2 too, but they all fail :)
Ok, so for Day 2 i bought 2 more figma figurines, a young Haruhi Suzumiya and a high school Haruhi Suzumiya (has ponytail hairstyle, SAIKO! (YYYYY)). I also bought a Mio plushie! You can insert batteries so when you clap, her head'll move from side to side. This is the 2nd best buy for me for both days :) The BEST buy of the ENTIRE FESTIVAL WAS THE 3 CUSHIONS! 2 from The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Yuki Nagato and long haired Haruhi), and 1 from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Normal Haruhi). I swear if i had more money i would buy the pillows too -.- . The 3rd best buy was the Yuki Nagato 3D poster from The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Ok, so most of the stuff i bought from the entire festival was from Haruhi Suzumiya. Why? CAUSE MOST OF THE OTHER STUFF I WANTED WAS SOLD OUT. The Mio handphone strap was gone, the K-ON! mug was gone, the Mayoi Neko Overrun shirt was gone, the wooden swords were gone. Frankly speaking there's really very little K-ON! stuff. HOPE FOR MORE NEXT YEAR!
So after i'd run out of money, it was photo taking time :) Photos can be found in ancient quality on my Facebook. More pictures can also be found on Zach's facebook, and they're of better quality cause his friend lent him a hell of a camera. Tch.
Before i went back, the floor below the festival was filled with cosplayers, posing for pictures. There's Sailor Moon, Naruto, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Fate/Stay Night and more. Snapped the Sailor Moon and Umineko no Naku Koro ni, and i'm outta there.
IF, and only IF, i can find something to cosplay, i'll go there cosplaying as some character next year. No joke. (Y) Who wants to cosplay as well?!
